THE FAMILY

My mum’s name’s Josephine. She’s got eight brothers and sisters, so I’ve got lots of uncles and aunts and more than twenty cousins.

John is my step-father. John’s daughters, Margaret and Janet, are my step-sisters. My father’s name’s Jacob and his father, Arnold, is my granddad. Jacob lived in East Africa after he divorced my mother. He married an African woman and they’ve got two children, so I’ve got a half-brother and half-sister.

My brother Alex’s wife’s name is Yvonne. She’s my sister-in-law. They’ve got two children, a daughter, Anne, and a son, Sean. I’m their aunt. Anne’s my niece and Sean’s my nephew. Anne’s got a baby now. Her name’s Coren. Coren’s my great-niece and I’m her great-aunt.
